My Dryer Outlet Overheated And Melted While My Dryer

May 28, 2013 My dryer outlet overheated and melted while my dryer was running. They plug has been replaced but now my dryer wont work. The control panel lights up when the doorvis open but when we close the door closes everything goes black. Is there a safety mode on my dryer Its a Maytag Neptune front loader.

Sep 04, 2009 I pulled the dryer out to day and as i thought the plug and receptacle were burnt on the red wire, totally destroyed. There was a small mark where the cord was sitting on the vent but it did not go through. I took the cord apart to see if I could see any more damage in the cord.
